Shop terms of service

The agreement between NEXBITYYC and each business that takes bookings on Nexbook.

01Who we are

Nexbook is a service of NEXBITYYC, a business registered in Alberta, Canada ("NEXBITYYC", "we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between NEXBITYYC and the business that uses Nexbook to show its website and take bookings ("you", "the shop"). By accepting your invitation you accept these terms, the Acceptable use policy and the Privacy policy.

02The service

We give you a booking website and an admin: services, staff and hours, online booking, booking emails and reminders, a calendar, and optional online payment through your own Stripe account. We host your site on our address, or on your own domain when you connect one.

We work to keep the service available and safe, but we don't promise it will never be interrupted. We may change or improve features; when a change takes away something you rely on, we tell you in advance when we can.

03Your responsibilities

  • Keep your services, prices, hours and policies accurate, and honour the bookings your clients make.
  • Hold every licence and permit your business needs (business licence, public-health approval for personal services, professional registration where it applies).
  • Treat your clients' information as personal information under the privacy laws that apply to you, and use it only to serve them.
  • Keep your password private and remove staff who leave.

04Payments

Online payment is optional. When you turn it on, clients pay through Stripe into your own Stripe account; NEXBITYYC never holds your money and takes no fee per booking. Stripe's fees and terms apply to your account. Refunds, disputes and payouts are handled in your Stripe dashboard. Nexbook has no deposits, booking fees or no-show charges.

05Your clients' data

You decide why and how your clients' information is used; NEXBITYYC processes it on your behalf to run the service (names, emails, phone numbers, bookings and notes). We use it only for that, keep it apart from other shops, protect it with reasonable safeguards, tell you without undue delay about a breach that affects it, and help you answer your clients' privacy requests.

06Plan and fees

Your plan, its price and how you pay it are agreed with NEXBITYYC when your shop is set up and shown on your invoice. If a payment is late we may pause your booking site after telling you; your data stays and comes back when the account is paid.

07Ending the service

You can stop at any time by telling us. We may suspend or end a shop that breaks these terms or the Acceptable use policy. When a shop closes, its site goes offline and its data is kept for 90 days so it can be reopened or exported, then marked deleted, except records the law requires us to keep.

08Liability

To the extent the law allows, NEXBITYYC is not liable for indirect or lost-profit damages, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

09Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and Canada. We may update them; we tell you by email before a change that matters takes effect. Questions: support@nexbityyc.com.
